Ricardo Maduro is a Honduran politician. He served as President of Honduras, from 27 January, 2002 to 27 January, 2006.

Ricardo was born in Panama, to a Panamanian father, who was Jewish, and a Guatemalan mother, of Dutch, French, Honduran, and Guatemalan ancestry.

Ricardo’s paternal grandfather was Osmond Levy Maduro (the son of Isaac Levy Maduro and Clarita Jessurun Lindo). Osmond was born in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Isaac was the son of Isaac L. Maduro and Hannah De Lima. Clarita was born in Venezuela, the daughter of Jacob Jesurun Lindo, who was born in the Virgin Islands, and of Benvenida Piza Sasso, who was born in Curaçao.

Ricardo’s paternal grandmother was Anita Cardoze Lindo (the daughter of Isaac Haim Cardoze De Meza and Judith “Julita” Lindo Piza). Anita was born in Panama City, Panama. Isaac was born in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, the son of David Cardoze Fidanque, who was born in Curaçao, and of Rachel Adeliza De Meza, who was also born in the Virgin Islands. Judith was born in Venezuela, the daughter of Jacob Jesurun Lindo, who was born in the Virgin Islands, and of Benvenida Piza Sasso, who was born in Curaçao.

Ricardo’s great-grandmothers Clarita and Judith were sisters.

Ricardo’s maternal grandfather was Louis Julius Joest (the son of Rodolphus Joest and Marie Thérése Thabussot). Louis was a banker and historian, and was born in Aachen, Germany, to a Dutch father and a French mother.

Ricardo’s maternal grandmother was Julia Midence Flores (the daughter of Ramón Midence Valle and Isabel Flores Corredor). Julia was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, to a Honduran father and a Guatemalan mother. Ramón was the son of Ramón José de Jesús Midence Vásquez and Vicenta Valle Román. Isabel was the daughter of Francisco Flores Madrid and Carmen Corredor.
