Will Smith, also known as The Fresh Prince, is an American actor, rapper, songwriter, and producer. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for King Richard (2021). Will is the son of Caroline (Bright), a school board administrator, and Willard Carroll Smith, a refrigeration engineer, who was in the Air Force. His parents were/are both African-American. He was raised in Wynnefield, Philadelphia. Will is married to actress and musician Jada Pinkett Smith. He has a son, actor and disc jockey Trey Smith, with his former wife, actress and fashion designer Sheree Fletcher; and two children, actors and singers Jaden Smith and Willow Smith, with Jada.
Will’s paternal grandfather was Wilmon Lee Smith (the son of John Edward Smith and Mariah B. Holley). George was born in North Carolina. John was the son of Miles A. Smith and Margaret Ann Johnson. Mariah was the daughter of Gregory Holley and Mary Ellen Woodhouse.
Will’s paternal grandmother was Ellen Frances Washington (the daughter of Thomas Holcomb Washington and Conolia Lottie “Estelle” Lee). Ellen was born in Virginia. Thomas was the son of William Washington and Mary Frances Scott. Conolia was the daughter of George Washington Lee and Ellen Frances Gannaway.

@multiethnicchick, you do know most of black Hollywood wear texturizers, weaves, and relaxers. You cannot tell what anyones real hair looks like. He mother is dark skinned black.
He looks pretty much fully black. I do not see admixture anywhere.

Nah. He’s clearly mostly black but has some visible Euro ancestry. Compare him to 50 Cent or So Sharpton for example.
I think he’s most likely more than 75 percent black but has high single digit or low double digit white ancestry.
Now seriously, saying that Will here is mixed because of his light skin is like saying that a tanned White person is mixed. All human beings are different, so Blacks can be light to dark, just like Whites and Asians. End of story! And I’m talking generally not just about AA who have some Euro. blood, but that doesn’t mean anything!
But it’s not just his skin tone. His facial features look likely European influenced.

Well you can’t go by that. As I said before, Blair Underwood is more mixed than Tyra banks, and his clearly darker. Don cheadle is 19% European, which is more than Tyra, yet clearly darker. IMO even 50 Cent has a mixed phenotype

i’m pure african born there and raised there i’m light skin and you guys will you say that i’m mixed? no i’m not it means that if you’re black you don’t really have to have dark skin but there are blacks in africa with light skin as me but not mixed.. so will smith is back not mixed
