Snoop is the son of Beverly (Tate) and Vernell Varnado. His father was a Vietnam veteran, singer, and mail carrier. Snoop was born Cordozar Broadus, after Calvin Cordozar Broadus, who was not his biological father. He was called Calvin at home, and received the nickname “Snoopy” from his parents, after the fictional character. Snoop is married to Shante Taylor. He has four children, including three with Shante.

Snoop’s paternal grandfather was William Varnado (the son of Cornelius Varnado and Annie/Anna Patterson). Snoop’s grandfather William was born in Mississippi. The surname Varnado in Mississippi originates with a French immigrant named Vernadeau. Cornelius likely was the son of Robert Varnado and Tempie.

Snoop’s paternal grandmother was Minnie Felder (the daughter of Charles/Charlie/Charley Felder and Carrie Owens/Owen). Minnie was born in Mississippi.

Snoop’s maternal grandfather was Jeremiah Tate (the son of John Tate and Maud/Maude Christophers/Christopher). Jeremiah was born in Mississippi. John was the son of Dave Tate and Letha A.

God isn’t real. That’s just a fairy tale, you should get over it.

      • Seba says:

        John,
You couldn’t be more wrong! GOD is very real! You are getting him confused with humans! You see he has the ability to be as mysterious as he wants! That’s the power of my GOD! YOU WILL UNDERSTAND ONEDAY JOHN JUST HOW REAL HE REALLY IS!!!!LMAO! DON’T think you just live in this world without having accountability for how you live your life John! That’s just the devil trying to convince you that the spirit of GOD is not real and to continue down the path that you are going!!!!!!!!! Pray and God will show you how he operates! I always tell people that GOD loves to show out! lol! The great thing about his love is that you have the ability to change before you take your last breath! Ask GOD to show you the way and he will!!!!!!! Peace Be!

Color means nothing. Its all in the features. In Africa, there are those who have high cheek bones similiar to Native-Americans, Slanted eyes like Asians. Some even have red hair and light eyes. Aborigines are as black as can be but have silky fine hair. Basically, we are all African…Africa is the CRADLE of CIVILIZATION….duh.

    • hapa kamoa/Pukiki/haolii says:

doesn’t mean we are afican we just came there

    • afrobeats says:

U are right bcs i have a pure blooded african cousin who has slanted eyes like asians so does his mum and he is really really light skin even lighter than me. It still amazes me how people who have never been to Africa assume that Africans can’t be this africans can’t be that bollocks. I know many africans who have those ”european features” and they can go as light as black amercians can go without being mixed am not saying you’ll find blonds, blue eyes and green eyes in Africa but u can find almost every other so called european features there. My dad’s girlfriend is probably the lightest african woman that i know she can almost pass for a very light mulatto. Black american can claim whatever they want but as long as u look predominantly black and u grew up with black american culture then u r only that BLACK. How many of u can tell me they practice same culture as native americans and white americans? I don’t think many of u grew up with the same experience as them. For me i identify with the culture i grew up with (black) despite having another ethnicity somewhere there but then again that is me.

    • fuzzywuzzy says:

Tell that to black people. Too many are ignorant classifying every dark person as black stupid Afro centrics think South Indians are black lol

      • fuzzybear says:

But now you sounding the same way,Your basing your opinion on what you think you see today, not how thing are. Also if you check which is obvious you didn’t,there are many groups of black people there, who Id themselves as black or african descent

    • ssanne says:

So indians have silk fine hair but they aren’t always considered black. Africans don’t have to be black. It’s a very diverse continent.
