Can you establish the connection of this actor with https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Rulfo

    He said

      ..about him:

“Era el hermano de tu abuelo?

No, él era sobrino de mi abuelo, o sea era primo de mi padre, primo segundo, ya lejano. Pero sí era muy cercano a mi abuelo. Juan Rulfo, como sabes, era un poco complejo, era muy solitario, se aislaba mucho. Es como que quería a ciertas personas en las que sentía confianza y uno de esos era mi abuelo, según lo que me contaba él.”

      Your Spanish may be helpful

        His Spanish is useless hahaha.

he is first asked if Juan Rulfo was his gradpa’s brother, to which he responds “no, it was grandpa”s nephew, but he was rather close to him.
As you know, he was difficult (literal translation would be complex but sounds like a rather inorganic choice in this context), he was lonely, he would isolate a lot.
Is like there was only a handful of people he would trust and my grandpa was one of them, as he would tell me”

Must hail from that Spanish colonial stock with maybe 1/8 Aztec or less, the so-called “criollos”… His place of origin doesn’t surprise me, guadalajara, jalisco as it has it’s pocket of “white mexicans”, his family land owners. His height is 6’2 taller than his cast members like Chris Pratt in ‘the magnificant 7’ staying true to the saying “Los Altos de Jalisco” (the tall ones of Jalisco)

I believe two of his great-grandparents may be Juan Nepomuceno Pérez Rulfo Navarro and María Vizcaíno Arias, assuming Juan Rulfo (the writer) is his grandfather’s brother.

I also believe Garcia and Rulfo are his paternal and maternal surnames, respectively.

As usual for Latin-American actors, there are not many available biographical informations, basically nothing in English sites. never ever. And as alwais, it turns out they don’t come out of nothing in Hollywood but they have some pedigree. In this case, he is the nephew (“sobrino” in Spanish) of writer Juan Rulfo:
