Andre Ethier is an American professional baseball player. He is an outfielder, who played twelve seasons for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB).

He is one of seven children of Priscilla and Byron Ethier, who had also played baseball. He is married to gymnast Maggie Germaine, with whom he has four children. Andre is Catholic.

Andre’s paternal grandfather was Pierre Leo “Pete” Ethier (the son of Elphage/Elphege/Elpage Dolphis Ethier and Emma Rose Frigon). Pierre was born in Massachusetts, of French-Canadian descent. He played professional minor league baseball, as high as the AAA level. Elphage was the son of Dolphis/Delphis Ethier and Olivine Blette. Emma was the daughter of Louis Frigon and Phoebe/Pheobe Brouseau.

Andre’s paternal grandmother was Evalina Rill (the daughter of Orville Albert Rill and Irene Taylor). Evalina was born in Cherokee County, Oklahoma. Orville was the son of Louis Rill and Anna Laurie Good. Irene was the daughter of Arthur Valentine Taylor and Nancy Downing. Andre’s great-great-grandmother Nancy was a Cherokee Native American.
