so for all of you that claim mixtures for tyra or others waaay back in the line–forget it–Tyra is right to claim her blackness because unless mommy and daddy were bi racial and then had her she is considered just black no matter how many mixtures are in the line up–it goes like this:

mulatto–50% black, 50%white

meztizo–1/2 Indian 1/2 white

quadroon–(when a mulatto mates with a 100%white person) 25% black 75% white

octoroon this is when a quadroon mates with a 100% white person and the resulting child is now 88% white and only 12% black

That is 4 generations after the first mating–if the offsprings keep mating with white then that 4th generation can call themselves white. BY LAW anyone with more than 12% black could not say they were white and indeed were Not ALLOWED to even mention any white blood–it was not recognized.

that is the law and guess what? The laws concerning racial purity are still on the books in most states with only the part about interracial marriage beiing struck down.

Whites did it to themselves. they never wanted to claim the races until white women started having bi racial babies–which makes sense because white females pushed for the laws in the first place because intially too many white men were marrying and impregnating Afrian women and leaving land to them and the offspring.

these laws called the “Laws of miscegenation were to prevent the mixing of the races–it did not do this–but at least it prevented white men from claiming their biracial children. Thomas Jefferson HAD to wait until his death to free his lover and their kids–to stake a claim and free her or acknowledge the children before his death could have subjected him to criminal charges and her too.

THESE are the laws in effect and until about 10 years ago, the majority of whites did not acknowledge all the mixed people in their midst or the centuries of rape and consensual sex of white men with black women.

there was little to no sex of black men to white women prior to the 1930s and it was still rare until about the 1970s–when you see all those generational mixed people–the mommas were almost always black and the daddy’s white–not only were black men forbidden to touch white women, they were lynched if even a white prostitute claimed she was touched. THIS is our history and one of the main reasons black females resist white men and why we only laugh when it is said that white men are not interested in black women–most black women can tell you of the white regulars that troll black ghettos looking for either black women or children to coerce or force or pay for sex.

this is our ugly history that white women don’t want adknowledged and white men pretend does not still go on. It does. by the time I was 13, I had already been violently grabbed at least 6 times–ALL were white men–2 were cops. A lot of men were after me –the ratio was for every black man who tried to get in my pants, there were at least 10 white boys trying–nd this continued until I was 45. Only one white man ever succeeded to get in my pants –and I am still married to him. our kids are black by law

whites can parse this if they want–but for centuries they denied the mixing, so why acknowledge it now? Is it that whites want to lay claim to certain talents, because they support only what they can identify with? Guess Michael Jordan and Michael Jackson were biracial too. NOT

There is nothing about Tyra that looks “mixed”. Both her parents are black, and so are her grandparents.
