He is the son of African-American parents, Anita Jeanine Williams (née Hawkins), who was born in Ohio, and Tyrone Howard, who was born in Alabama. His parents are sometimes cited as having recent part European ancestry, although the degree is unclear.
Terrence is married to model and restaurateur Mira Pak. He has three children with his former wife Lori McCommas; and two with Mira.

Terrence’s maternal grandfather is named William Milton Hawkins.

ummm, tiffany that does mean he’s also bi-racial if both your parent are…. do the math… my grandfather parent were both mixed, and he was half and half too, because of it…. but anyway just because the mans eyes are hazel don’t mean he’s mixed…. african americans eyes colors and skin colors come in all different shades, it can come from 10 generations back….

If you look at the science of his ethnicity his mother is 50% white and 50% black, his father is 50% white and 50% black. When Terrence was born, you take half of each parents ethnicity. 25% black 25% white from the mother, 25% black and 25% white from the father and put it into Terrence’s genes, and Voila!
