Jane Kaczmarek is an American actress. She is known for playing Lois on the series Malcolm in the Middle.

Jane is the daughter of Evelyn and Edward Kaczmarek. She has three children with her former husband, actor and liberal political activist Bradley Whitford.

Jane’s maternal grandfather was Judge Frank Edwin Gregorski (the son of Stanislaus/Stanislaw Gregorski/Grzegorski and Marya/Marianna Kador/Wroblewska). Frank was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Polish parents, from Posen, Prussia. Stanislaus was the son of Bartholomaeus Grzegorski and Michalina Bilka. Marianna was the daughter of Joannes Wroblewski and Michalina Frydrych.

Jane’s maternal grandmother was Frances/Franciszka Josephine Schilling/Szelang (the daughter of Simon Jacob Schilling/Schelling/Szelag/Szelang and Veronica Plutowska). Frances was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Polish parents. Simon was born in Kościerzyna, Kashubia. Veronica was born in Prussia, the daughter of Adalbert Franz Plutowski and Catherine Rostankowska.
