David Jonsson

Date of Birth: 4 September, 1993

Ethnicity: Nigerian, Sierra Leonean, Creole Caribbean, Swedish

David Jonsson is a British actor and writer. He has starred in the films Rye Lane, Alien: Romulus, and Bonhoeffer (2024), and on television’s Deep State, Industry, and Murder Is Easy. He is also known as David Jonsson-Fray.

His father was an IT engineer and his mother worked for the Metropolitan Police. He was raised in Custom House, in the East London Docklands.

He has said:

My family are mixed, we’re like Creole and I have family from Africa and the Caribbean and Sweden – hence the name.

And also added:

My family’s Nigerian and Sierra Leone Creole… Culture was everything growing up. My Grandad was a barrister, extremely well educated, he always dressed in immaculate suits and was about the same age as Luke when he first sailed to England. His story and what he and my grandma went through is amazing… I took a lot of inspiration from him.

    Swedish from how far back?

BTW, only tangentically related, but I was under the impression that you had to upload sources with these profiles. But that is apparently not the case? If not, I have quite a few profiles in mind to upload. lol

What is the point of asking questions about his genealogy when his genealogy is clearly not (publicly) known?

Excuse me, what? What is the point of posting him here with ethnicities listed “when his genealogy is clearly no (publicly) known?” I hadn’t know that it wasn’t publicly know, and in that case, that’s the question you should be asking.

Because his ancestry is known. He has stated that he has Caribbean, Swedish, and African ancestry in interviews. If follers finds the names of his ancestors too, I’m sure they will be added here in no time. If the genealogy isn’t in the profile, no one who usually posts here has found it yet, this is not hard to figure out.

The guy said he has “Sierra Leone Creole” roots that is not Creole Caribbean as reported now. Jonsson? Very Swedish spelling but that’s all.
