Elizabeth Olsen is an American actress. Her roles include Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as the films Martha Marcy May Marlene, Silent House, Peace, Love & Misunderstanding, Red Lights, Liberal Arts, Kill Your Darlings, Oldboy (2013), In Secret, Godzilla (2014), Very Good Girls, I Saw the Light, Ingrid Goes West, Wind River, and Kodachrome, and the series Sorry for Your Loss.

She is the daughter of Jarnette “Jarnie,” a dancer, and David “Dave” Olsen, a real estate agent. Her sisters are twin actresses and businesspeople Ashley Olsen (Ashley Fuller Olsen) and Mary-Kate Olsen. She is married to musician Robbie Arnett, of indie pop band Milo Greene. The two co-wrote a children’s book.

Elizabeth’s paternal grandfather was Walter Gustav Olsen-Boye/Olsen (the son of Ole/Oscar Johan/John/Johann Ludvig Olsen/Olsen-Boye and Winifred Dora Reeve). Walter was born in West Ham, Essex, England.     If believe family trees, through her maternal great-grandfather (Hicks line) she descendent of Native American woman Nancy Elizabeth Broom, which can make her (and her sisters as well) 1/256 Native.

      The Hicks are part Cherokee indeed but for example Geni.com list another Hicks (of the same family) as Nancy Broom partner. There is sizeable material about this family to try to sort it out.
