Jüri Pootsmann is an Estonian singer. He represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Jüri is the son of Jaanus Pootsmann and Marit Rahkemaa.

Jüri’s paternal grandfather was Jüri Pootsmann (the son of Hans Pootsmann and Anna Katharina Puhm). Hans was the son of Jüri Pootsmann and Tiina Breitfeldt. Anna was the daughter of Hans Puhm and Tiina Leismann.

Jüri’s paternal grandmother was named Taimi.

Jüri’s maternal grandfather was Heino Rahkema (later Rahkemaa, the son of Anton Rahkema and Amalia Teppich). Heino was born in Raikkula, Harju. Anton was the son of Jüri Rahkema and Leenu Liivas/Liivas. Amalia was the daughter of Anna Maria Teppich.

Jüri’s maternal grandmother is Milvi Kiirkivi (the daughter of Jüri Rudolf Kristelstein/Kiirkivi and Alma Johanna Einholm, later Laanemets).
