Sure he’s Colombian & Venezuelan just like how someone can be Mexican and American.
What’s his ACTUAL ethnicity? Spanish, native, Portuguese?
He looks more European than a native South American – dunno why there isn’t a European country up there as his ethnicity.
All people mean when they name these Hispanic countries like Pr, Dr, Columb, Venz , Cuba etc is : Hey, I’m a mix of Black African, White Spaniard and Reddish-Brown Taino “Indian” . That’s it means to he Hispanic and sometimes Latino. That goes for Wilber, JLO, La La and most people like her unless you are Caucasian Spaniard like Emilio Estevez or Cameron Diaz but the typical Hispanic that come to mind has a close black relatives.
Venezuela and colombias have not any Tainos.
@Marjanel very true in Columbia they just have Indigenous Indians, African slave descendants and Europeans. There are only three races in the world and Hispanic is not a race.
He’s fricking gorgeous in the picture provided.
with out a doubt there is some african in there
I don’t think he’s black, he’s meztizo (indigenous and white) yes
Most latin countries has black colonies, Central America and South America were the biggest black slaves destination during 400 years. Colombia and Venezuela have a decent black population, if you talk with a person from there you’ll find out it. His hair isn’t soft, so there is a probability. I know becuase I Live here in South America right next Columbia, Venezuela and Bolivia.
He doesn’t look African at all! you need glasses mate
They’re are not saying he’s African but with that tan skin they know there’s something else in there.
he’s a mestizo. No African admixture
@andrew
(he’s a mestizo. No African admixture)
Can you prove (No African heritage)?Mestizo simply meant mixed-blood.As you look in different places,it’s used differently.Even the avg Mexican Mestizo may have African ancestry(although want admit it).Actually to be fair,they may not know about it. Hugo Chávez a typical Venezuelan mestizo,and this was his make-up(Amerindian, Afro-Venezuelan, and Spanish descent).Even Louisiana Creoles,were called Mestizo by mexicans. So Wilmer having African heritage,is definitely possible .
I meant mestizo as Euro+Amerindian. Most or all of his ancestry is this.
@andrew
I know exactly what you meant,but do you have any proof that’s how he is?
No, I haven’t. Just watched his pics

@andrew
(No, I haven’t. )
Ok now that we have that cleared up.
(Just watched his pics)
Now I’m looking at his pics,am I supposed to see something,that will show me I’m wrong?Because if that’s the case,it’s not working.This is the very reason I mention Hugo Chávez and his background.You should know by now,that the outward appearance many times will not show your background.Here are some people of Afro-Venezuelan descent:

As you see,there no fixed look
It’s no different than white people, like this man here

being part black.So like i stated,Wilmer having African heritage is definitely possible .
it’s definitely possible, but come on..I still think if someone looks in certain way it’s because of his ancestry. If African is relevant he would show it
@andrew
Well I guess this has come to be a common theme between us.So instead of boring (follers ) and the rest of the site,I’ll end it.
Sorry fuzzybear but hugo Chavez was not consider in Venezuela as a typical mestizo but a zambo(Indigenous and African mixed)

Wasn’t that because of rivals who played up the fact, that he openly embraces his African Ancestry, instead of distancing himself from it like most people do. Every article I’ve every read about him, clearly states he was Mestizo. I’ve read up on Venezuela, and the articles clearly say that Mestizo is a mixture of (Euro, African, Native) Even IMO from looking at the population, the people called mestizo, don’t look any different from him. I’ve been to Venezuelan sites where they show their families, and they are clearly mixed. so I guess it all in the eye of the beholder.
But if you want to see him as something, that’s fine with me
@Andrew you are CRAZY and anti-black African racist. The majority of Venezuelans have black African admixture even though they do not look like it I know I am South American Guyanese and I have lived in Venezuela. Andrew you need to get over your fear and hatred of black people. What exactly have black people done to you to be so paranoid???? You are very strange in your comments so racist for what reason??
@Victoria you do not need to look African to have black African admixture you can have the phenotype and Africa is so diverse in looks and skin tones. You have a stereotypical image of Africa.
he looks a brother of Eva Mendes.
no
Not really.
@Adm Eva Mendes Grandmother is a black African descent Cuban
