Britney is the daughter of Lynne Irene (Bridges) and James Parnell “Jamie” Spears. She is the sister of film and television producer Bryan Spears and actress and singer Jamie Lynn Spears. She has two children with her former husband, dancer, rapper, model, and actor Kevin Federline.
Britney’s maternal grandmother was an English war bride, and one of Britney’s maternal great-great-grandfathers was Maltese. Most of the rest of Britney’s recent ancestors were American-born, with most of her roots being English, along with Scottish, Scots-Irish/Northern Irish, Irish, French, and Welsh, all of them distant or remote to various degrees. Britney’s paternal grandfather was June Austin Spears (the son of June Becker/Bacot Spears and Nova Gill). Britney’s grandfather June was born in Amite, Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. Britney’s great-grandfather June was the son of Pascal Greene Spears and Mary Pauline Bridges. Nova was the daughter of James Monroe Gill and Effie Strahan.

Britney’s Maltese great-great-grandfather Edward was the son of Antonio Portelli; it is possible that Edward was of Italian ancestry, like many people on Malta.

What is that part you dont understand? i said there are tan italian people, not only blue eyed. That explanation is because of the text right down there, italians are linked to light hair or/and light eyes.
Who said there were only blue-eyed? I come from Adelaide, South Australia, and there are a lot of Italians there and at my school. I’ve only ever met one pure Italian that had blue eyes! and I’ve never met one that didn’t have dark hair.
Britney’s Maternal grandmother Lillian Portell’s nationality was English & Lillian’s father George’s nationality was English too. He was half Italian/Maltese on his fathers side of the family & half English on his mothers side of the family. Lillian’s mother also named Lilian was completely English, so I think it’s wrong that you’ve put in the description above that Lillian Portell, Britney’s grandmother,was of Italian/Maltese descent, when clearly she was only a bit Italian/Maltese & was mostly of English descent herself. People can say that Britney’s eyes, tan skin, etc, are clues of her Italian/Maltese heritage, but a lot of British people have dark hair, eyes, etc, so she could have inherited those physical traits from either sides of her ancestral heritage!
LOL. I’ve seen pictures of her maternal grandparents, and they both have brown hair and brown eyes. So I don’t think Britney having brown hair and brown eyes has anything to do with her being of partial Italian Maltese descent. Her mother has brown hair and brown eyes while her father has brown hair and blue eyes.
