Nancy Travis is an American actress. Her roles include the films Three Men and a Baby, and its sequel, Three Men and a Little Lady; Internal Affairs, Air America, Passed Away, Chaplin (1992), So I Married an Axe Murderer, Greedy (1994), Fluke, Bogus, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Jane Austen Book Club, and Ordinary Angels, the series Duckman, in voice performance; Almost Perfect, Work with Me, Becker, Last Man Standing, The Kominsky Method, and Ride (2023), and the mini-series Stephen King’s Rose Red.

Nancy is the daughter of Theresa, a social worker, and Gordon Travis, a sales executive. She was raised in Framingham, Massachusetts and Baltimore, Maryland. She is married to film producer, screenwriter, and studio executive Robert N. Fried, who was president and CEO of Savoy Pictures. The couple has two children. Nancy was raised Catholic, though her mother was an atheist. Nancy converted to Judaism, her husband’s faith, in the 2000s.

Nancy’s paternal grandfather was English.

Nancy’s maternal grandfather was Paolo DiMitrio (the son of Orazio DiMitrio and Maria Costanza Avenia). Paolo was born in Trani, Bari, Puglia, Italy.

Nancy’s maternal grandmother was Vincenza Perna (the daughter of Luigi Perna and Maria DeVito). Vincenza was born in New York, to Italian parents.

    I didn’t have enough confirmation to write it, but I think her dad could be British. She mentions having an “English grandfather” in the article above. There’s also an old IMDb post that reads “Nancy’s dad is British and her mom is Italian.”
    It would also explain why I didn’t see him on any US census (he was born in 1935 and is still living, so he doesn’t have a huge record trail anyway).
