Htin Kyaw is a Burmese politician, writer, and scholar. He served as President of Myanmar, from 30 March, 2016 to 21 March, 2018.

He is the son of Kyi Kyi and Min Thu Wun, a poet, writer, and scholar, who helped launch a new age literary movement called Khit-San, Testing the Times, in Burma. He is married to politician Su Su Lwin.

Htin Kyaw’s paternal grandfather was named Lwan Pin.

Htin Kyaw’s paternal grandmother was named Mi.
