Maja Francis is a Swedish singer and songwriter.

She is the daughter of photographer Ulla Maria Alderin and Torgny “Togge” Landgren.

Maja’s biological paternal grandfather was Åke Gerhard Larsson (who was a songwriter and popularly known as Åke Gerhard, the son of Gunnar Gerhard Larsson and Olga Elisabet Karlsson). Åke was born in Utansjö, Västernorrland. Gunnar was the son of Gunnar Larsson and Karolina Jonsdotter. Olga was the daughter of August Karlsson and Agnes Karolina Andersson.

Maja’s paternal grandmother was Thory Gunhild Elisabet Berglind (later Bernhards, who was a singer, the daughter of Ture Bernhard Berglind and Alfhild Maria Wallenberg). Thory was born in Örebro, Örebro. Ture was the son of Karl Johan Berglind and Augusta Vilhelmina Persson. Alfhild was the daughter of Gustaf Adolf Wallenberg and Hilda Margareta Lundgren.

Maja’s maternal grandfather was Erik (later Eric) Anton Alderin (the son of Paul Nathanaël Alderin and Anna Ulrika Elisabet Stafverfelt). Eric was born in Brunflo, Jämtland. Paul was the son of Hilde Alderin and Maria Flod. Anna was the daughter of Anders Anton Andersson Stafverfelt and Kristina Ersdotter.

Maja’s maternal grandmother was Elsie Ingeborg Nilsson (the daughter of John Oscar, later Oskar, Nilsson and Anna Deremia Olofsson). Elsie was born in Riseberga, Skåne. John was the son of Olof Nilsson and Assarina Eskilsdotter. Anna was the daughter of Nils Olofsson and Selma Svensson.
