Lisa Edelstein is an American actress and playwright. She is known for playing Dr. Lisa Cuddy on the Fox medical drama series House. Lisa is the daughter of Bonnie and Alvin Edelstein. She is married to artist Robert Russell (who is also Jewish).

Lisa’s paternal grandparents are Samuel Edelstein and Ida/Chaya Gitl Stelling (the daughter of Samuel Stelling and Chava Leah Zwiebach/Zweibach). Samuel Edelstein was a Russian Jewish immigrant. Ida was a Polish Jewish immigrant.
