  5. Check7t says:

    60% Sub-Saharan African and 40% European.

Typical African-American is only 77% black, he looks way more admixed and his mom looks like she’s 30% black.

    • Multiethnicchick says:

      actually its 1/8-1/5. 12.5-20%

    • midori29 says:

Gimme a break , he does not look 40% European. Some of you people are sooo way off about black people , its funny.

    • midori29 says:

The typical black American is not 77% European. Most Africans Americans can range from 0 to 5% European , all the way to 20%. African Americans from the South have barely no European at all. If any mixture Chris Brown has its the little Indian he claims. Just because you see a black person with light skin it does not mean they are mixed. In West Africa there are light skinned blacks, even Fulani’s brought to America as slaves.
The higher 40% and above are rare because mixing was not allowed in America. That’s why people like Halle Berry and Mariah Carey are so fascinating because black and whites did not mix.

      • westovermarching says:

Almost all African American have White desent and are usually between 70 and 75% Black including the south. Only about 4% of White ppl have African descent

        • midori29 says:

@westovermarching your percentages are highly inflated. Most studies have shown African Ameticans are about 5 to 20 percent white. That includes the light and dark ones. And the mixture is mot always white its Chinese or Native American. Light skinned does not equal white admixture. When mixed skin tone has been shown to be the least determinant of admixture.

“Just because you see a black person with light skin it does not mean they are mixed.”
        And what about whites? :-)

    • Peanut says:

if you look at the boateng brothers or choupo moting for example, who are half real african/half german, 60/40 seems right.

      • midori29 says:

@peanut you cannot go by looks. Because there are unmixed Africans who look similiar to Chris Brown in South Africa. And many other black men who are not 40% white. You reallly have to be around blavk people to see that light skin does not always equal recent white admixture. 40% is too high for his features and hair (ignore the skin tone). The highest I would give Chris is 25 percent. But he could be black South Africa. Easily.

        • Peanut says:

yes i can, it’s called phenotype and chris brown is definitely of the mulatto phenotype. the only reason i gave him 60/40 instead of 50/50 is because it seems more reasonable for an african-american. and the only people in south africa who look similar to him are the coloureds, who are mainly a afrikaan/bantu/capoid mix and therefore…. right, of the mulatto phenotype.

      • midori29 says:

@peanut another reason you cannot compare real black African looks with half Germans because black Africans are different skin tones /colors and looks , features, themselves. You may be comparing a super dark, heavy featured black African with a German verses a browner, lighter featured African mixed with a German. Both would produce different results but both offspring are half black African.

          • midori29 says:

What is a mullato phenotype??? That can be broad or narrow. Are you talking about any white admixture, no matter how small or large? Or are you talking about actual people with a white parent. None of Chris Brown parents are white people. His parents are both African American. And you cannot go by looks or skin tone with African Americans or Afro Carribeans because an old gene can pop up in any generation and vhange the look of a kid. African Americans are not multiracial people and there sole mixtures have come from slavery for the most part. So an actual mullato with a white parent can look the same as an Africa. American. But it does not mean that the African American is a mullato. My uncle has black patents but is 5 shades lighter than Chris Brown and he is not a mullato at all.
