Charli XCX is a British singer, songwriter, record producer, and music video director.
She is the daughter of Shameera (Manji), a nurse and flight attendant, and Jon Aitchison, an entrepreneur and show booker. Her father is of Scottish origin. Her mother, who is from Uganda, is of Gujarati Indian descent. Charli was raised in Start Hill, Essex.
Charli has said:
I grew up around people throwing the word Paki around… And they’d be like, ‘Oh, we’re going to the Paki shop,’ like a corner shop or whatever. I personally think that’s really racist. A lot of people I knew would throw that term around, and it would always upset me, not because I’m Pakistani, but just because I thought it was really wrong. And my mom actually once had an incident where she was getting out of her car in broad daylight, in the middle of our town, and these guys went past her on a bicycle and threw a milkshake at her and called her a Paki. She was so upset, as she would be. But that’s nothing to some things that happen.

When i first saw her i wondered what her ethnicity is. Her eyebrows, eye shape and nose show her Indian side.

In america everyone would think shes white. She looks like a typical white american girl to me. Her nose and eye shape look very european, not indian. She also has pale skin and no olive undertones. She looks no where close to mixed.
I’m half pakistani and people say I look exactly like charli xcx. If you look at her features closely, you can tell she’s mixed.

it depends which kind of Pakistani ethnic group her mom is. I read she’s Gujarati. Btw I dont consider “mixed race” an Euro-Pakistani blend like her or the guy from One Direction
well euro-pakistani/indian are mixed race in the sense they’re eurasian, but they’re still caucasian
I don’t consider her mixed “race” either since Caucasians don’t only include Europeans. They include Middle Easterners, Berbers, and non-oriental Asians(Pakistani, Indian etc.)
But i do consider her mixed. A European mixed with another european nationality is what i don’t consider mixed.
India is very diverse. Not all Indians have “Caucasian” features and could be considered Caucasian. North Indian people have Caucasian features. South Indians on the other hand are partially related to Andaman Islanders.

Not all Indians are Caucasian or have Caucasian features. India is a very diverse place.

From the picture she posted on Instagram, her mother is somewhat light-skinned, but definitely doesn’t look white. Charli actually looks like a much younger version of her, just lighter.

Yeah, I think her mum is fully Indian, just on the lighter side. I can definitely see her in Charli.
