Tom Fears was an American professonal football player. A split end, he spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL).

Tom was the son of Carmen Valdez and Charles Fears.

Tom’s paternal grandfather was Thomas Jess Brown Calhoun Fears (the son of Jesse Lafayette Fears and Mary Ann Eva Smith). Jesse was born in Georgia, the son of William Sadler Fears and Levicy Smith. Mary was born in South Carolina, the daughter of John Hiriam Smith and Sarah R. Hendrick.
