Oddly, Miranda did not mention her one eighth Mexican ancestry. Miranda’s maternal grandfather’s mother, Mary Castimello/Costano/Coseton, was born in Mexico, as were Mary’s parents. The spelling of Mary’s surname varies from record to record.

A picture of Miranda with her mother can be seen here.

A picture of Miranda’s paternal grandmother can be seen here.

Miranda’s maternal grandfather was William Frank Casey (the son of William John Casey and Mary Cecilia Castimello/Costano/Coseton). Miranda’s grandfather William was born in California. Miranda’s great-grandfather William was Irish, born in Brosna, County Kerry. Miranda’s great-grandmother Mary was Mexican, born in Juárez, Chihuahua. A picture of Miranda’s maternal grandfather can be seen here.

Miranda’s maternal grandmother was Lois Ann Core (the daughter of Robert Herman Core and Ida Marie Bishir/Bishop). Lois was born in Oklahoma. Robert was the son of John W. Core and Birdie Harrell. 2. latina gurl says:

latina or latina is a way of seperating races just like black and white latina and latino is the EXACT same ting as hispanic or spanish but latina means your a girl and have a spanish background and latina means your a boy and have a spanish background

    • MEXICANO says:

What??? I don’t understand you. Learn more english. Latino is not the same that spanish or hispanic, spanish people are latinos, but latinos are many other countries too.

  3. David says:

Armenian is considered Middle Eastern, like Turkish.

  4. MEXICANO says:

Before you insult me, I just want to say that latino is not a race, is a culture, maybe one of the most diverse and mixed cultures. I think Miranda is a mix of many ethnicities (or races as you say), but who cares?, in my opinion she has a particular and unique beauty.

    Sorry for my bad english.

    • Melanie Lombardi says:

How is it not a race? If it’s not how come when you apply for anything and they have those races and you check of which one you are they have the choice Latino/Hispanic? What are Latino people then, please inform me.

      • MEXICANO says:

Ok… I’ll try to do my best… sorry for my english.

First of all, you say that italian, russian, english, german, irish, etc are races or ethnicities, but that are nationalities. If that is a race for you, then mexican, spanish, french, argentinian, etc are races too, but in the US constantly refers to all the people from “Latin America” as “Latino”… the truth is that in Mexico most of people are a mix of spanish and native american, but there are many people that looks totally like a spanish, a french, a german, a native american or a black. In Argentina a lot of people have italian ascendents.

The Latin World are the countries where speak a languaje that comes from the latin (latin was the official languaje of the Roman Empire), some of these languajes are spanish, french, italian and portuguese. Then, latinos are a lot of people from many countries (in Europe and America), with different “colors of skin”.

If in the US believe that all Latin American persons are only one race, in Latin America we can think that US and Canada are the same race (including black and asian people and other ethnicities): “Germanic”, because english is a languaje with germanic roots.

Anyway all this is racism… something that should not be exist.

        • Melanie Lombardi says:

Oh I see what you’re talking about, well thanks for the information(:

          • MEXICANO says:

            Where are you from?

          • Melanie Lombardi says:

I don’t know which ‘where’ you’re reffering to but I’m Italian from New York living in Texas. Yourself?

          • MEXICANO says:

I’m mexican. Do you was born in Italy, then you moved to NY and now live in Texas? How old are you?

          • Melanie Lombardi says:

Ah nice, I would say that’s more then obvious from your username. lol No my grandparents immigrated from Italy to New York. I’m 16. You?

          • MEXICANO says:

I can’t reply in your last comment, I´m 21 yo. If you born in the US you are “american”.

          • Melanie Lombardi says:

Mhm no, I’m Italian-American. Not just American. But nice, what part of Mexico are you from? My boyfriend’s Mexican side is from Jalisco.

          • MEXICANO says:

I’m from Guanajuato, but now I´m living in Querétaro.

        • Michael Paoli says:

You are absolutely right. By definition, I, as an Italian American, am a Latino. However, no one will ever admit this fact. I’m from a non-Anglo culture, and was raised in traditional Italian ways, but I’m “white” now by American standards. Too bad nobody told my grandfather that fact.

          • Richard Fiorello says:

            @everyone
So funny! Yeah true with the latin thing!

            @Michael Paoli
You are white no matter what. You cannot exist as another race in this world! You can refer to another race or be involved, but they are always going to look at you that way!

  5. LOST says:

She really may be asian, because she may have russian roots, as i know they are white skinned

    • Me! says:

Russians are White people..! and she got her Asian look because Russians are Slavic people (a group of White Indo-European people, for example Russian, Polish, Bosnian, Croatian..) who mostly look like that a little bit.. that’s all! she is 10000000000000% White

      • Sasha says:

        “Russians are white people..!”
That is (partial) bullshit! If you have ever seen Russia on a map, you probably have noticed that Russia is partially in Europe and the biggest part is in Asia. It is true that most Russians (104 millions out of 142 millions of people) live in the European part of the country and most of them are Caucasian but due to the fact that there are many ethnicities in the Asian part of Russia, most of them are Asian-looking. I know, I explained it kind of difficult, but I think ya know what I mean. :D

        • Whateva says:

actually I agree with Me cause native true Russians are White.. those other races are just people who move to Russia and become Russian but will never BE Russian you get it? they are White and Slavic that’s telling you all!

    • Richard Kerr says:

Alright, everyone think for a moment Biography Today as the source. Just go look at it in there, and see if she is asian. then, Me!… you are wrong ’cause of her armenian. she is arab/Berber, not fully white with her armenian heritage! arabs are not at all white and Berbers are semi-white.. Sasha you are correct about the two continents, but you are incorrect with the races. There are berbers, asians, and whites. Asians are actually commonly there in certain states, but they are nomadic, and berbers/arabs are there also but they are traditional. that is why there are not many shown all the time in sports, movies, and so forth. Now the white population is higher, but not as much as you, I, or anyone thinks!
