Laura Regan is a Canadian actress. Her father, Gerald Regan, was Premier of Nova Scotia (from 1970 to 1978). She is the sister of politician Geoff Regan, who is the Speaker of the Canadian House of Commons and a former federal Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, and actress and television personality Nancy Regan. She has Irish, English, and Welsh ancestry.

Laura is married to screenwriter and producer Farhad Safinia.

Laura’s paternal grandfather is Walter Edward Regan (the son of John Regan and Johanna Barbara Skerry). John was the son of James William Regan and Ann Barry, who were born in Cork, Ireland. Johanna was the daughter of John Skerry and Johanna Murray.

Laura’s paternal grandmother is Rose Marie/Mary Greene (the daughter of Thomas Barnaby Greene and Catherine Fewer). Thomas was the son of John Greene. Catherine was the daughter of Walter Fewer and Ann Dwyer/O’Dwyer.

Laura’s maternal grandparents were John Hornby Harrison (an MP from Saskatchewan, the son of W. H. Harrison and May Smith) and Margaret F. Thomas. John was born in Bradford, England, and came to Canada in 1913.
