Cooper Kupp is an American professional football player. A wide receiver, he plays for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He was Superbowl MVP for Super Bowl LVI (2022).

Cooper is the son of Karin and Craig Kupp (Craig Marion Kupp), a professional football player. A quarterback, his father was with the New York Giants, the Phoenix Cardinals, and the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL, and the San Antonio Riders and the Montreal Machine. His grandfather, Jake Kupp, was also a professional football player; a guard, he played for the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Redskins, the New Orleans Saints, and the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL. His brother, Ketner Kupp, was also signed by the Rams.

Cooper is married to Anna Croskrey, with whom he has three children. He is a devout Christian.

Cooper’s paternal grandfather is Jacob Ralph “Jake” Kupp (the son of Jacob Otto Kupp and Bernice Isabel Goa). Cooper’s grandfather Jake was born in Pasadena, California. Cooper’s great-grandfather Jacob was born in Nebraska, the son of Swiss-German parents, Jacob Kupp and Huida Mueller. Cooper’s maternal grandfather was Thomas Arnie “Tom” Gilmer (the son of Pearl A. Gilmer and Evelyn H. Christiansen). Pearl was born in North Dakota, the son of Thomas Allan Gilmer, whose father was born in Ontario, Canada, and had Northern Irish ancestry, and whose mother was born in Ballylinny, County Antrim, Ireland, of part Scottish descent; and of Alta May Byers. Evelyn was born in Washington, to Norwegian parents.

Cooper’s maternal grandmother was Linda Effinger (the daughter of Douglas Morton Effinger and Billie Astride Michaelson). Douglas was the son of Robert Patterson Effinger, Jr. and Nellie Brazee. Billie was born in Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Norwegian parents, Thomas Edvin Mikkelsen, from Ledang Farm, Nord Trondelag, and Anna Lovise Kristiansdatter-Osen Sitter, from Osen, Bjornor, Sor Trondelag.
