“Stone Cold” Steve Austin is an American professional wrestler, media personality, actor, and podcaster. He is known for his work in WWE, particularly during the Attitude Era, and is considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers ever. He has also been billed as The Ringmaster, “Stunning” Steve Austin, and “Superstar” Steve Austin. His acting roles include the films The Longest Yard, The Condemned, The Expendables, Hunt to Kill, Knockout, and Grown Ups 2, and the series Nash Bridges.

Steve was born to Beverly Jane (Harrison) and James Anderson. He was adopted by his stepfather, Kenneth Williams, who married his mother in 1968, and his surname was changed to Williams. He grew up in Edna, Texas. A photo of Steve and his mother can be seen here.

Steve is married to Kristin Feres. He has two children with his former wife, English professional wrestling manager and author Lady Blossom (born Jean Clarke), who was his WCW valet.

Steve’s biological paternal grandfather was Frank Marion Anderson (the son of James Marion Anderson and Mamie Lou Scantlen). Frank was born in Texas. James was the son of Francis/Frank Marion Anderson and Amanda Rust. Mamie was the daughter of Francis Marion Scantlen, whose father was from Cloyne, County Cork, Ireland; and of Cornelia Alice Streater.

Steve’s biological paternal grandmother was Susie Ruth Hale (the daughter of George William Hale and Mary Elizabeth “Lizzie” Covington). Susie was born in Texas. George was the son of George W. Hale and Bernettye Jean Wingate. Mary Elizabeth was the daughter of Charles William Covington and Susan Wallace Richardson, who was of Swiss-German heritage.

Steve’s maternal grandfather was Hubert Roy Harrison (the son of Edward Roy Harrison and Anna Missouri Norris). Hubert was born in Missouri. Edward was the son of Hubert H. Harrison, whose father was born in Northamptonshire, England, and of Emma. Anna was the daughter of Francis Marion Norris and Mary Louisa Lasater.

Steve’s maternal grandmother was Ruby Jane Schweitzer (the daughter of Otto/Otis Schweizer/Schweitzer and Lizzie Jane Henderson). Ruby was born in Oklahoma, to a Swiss father and a Northern Irish mother. Otis was born in Basel, Basel-Stadt, the son of Eduard/Edward Schweizer and Bertha Anna Kunz. Lizzie was the daughter of James Henderson and Esther Godfrey.
