Ryan Cayabyab is a Filipino musician, composer, and conductor. His mother, Celerina Venson Pujante, died when he was 6 years old. He was raised by his father, Alberto Austria Cayabyab. He is married to Emelina “Emmy” Punsalan.

Ryan’s paternal grandfather was Raymundo Cayabyab y Bulatao (or Raymundo Bulatao Cayabyab in Filipino, the son of Salvador Cayabyab y Pagsolingan, or Salvador Pagsolingan Cayabyab in Filipino, and of Juana Bulatao y Mendoza, or Juana Mendoza Bulatao in Filipino) and Bárbara Austria. Ryan’s great-grandfather Salvador was the son of Pedro Cayabyab y de Austria, or Pedro de Austria Cayabyab in Filipino, and of Juana Pagsolingan y de Vera, or Juana de Vera Pagsolingan in Filipino. Ryan’s great-grandmother Juana was the daughter of Mariano Bulatao and María Mendoza.

Ryan’s maternal grandfather was named Cipriano Pujante.

Ryan’s maternal grandmother was named Andrea Venson. The surname Venson is of possibly Chinese origin. However, it is not clear if this ancestry has been verified/documented.
