It is possible that Cena is Arbereshe, an ethnic Albanian group that moved to Southern Italy and Sicily from the 1500s. It is said that these people moved out of Albania to escape the Ottoman invasion. Although they often adopted Italian names, these people are proud of their Albanian roots and retain their Arbereshe language.
