George North is a Welsh professional rugby union player. He is a centre for Ospreys in the United Rugby Championship, and has also played for Scarlets and Northampton Saints, and for the Welsh national team. He is 6′4″.

His father, Dave North, is English, and from Yorkshire. His mother, Jan, is Welsh, and from Anglesey, Wales. The family moved to Anglesey when he was two. He is a fluent Welsh language speaker. George is married to Olympic cyclist Becky James, with whom he has one child.

He has stated:

England was never an option for me and they never got in touch. My father is English but he feels he has a bit of Welsh in him after watching me come through the age-groups.
