I am about 90% sure his paternal grandparents were William Dalton (born in New Jersey) and Clio June Westerhelweg (born in Detroit, Michigan).

William was the son of John Dalton and Margaret Dreyer. John was born in Maryland to Irish parents. Margaret was born in New Jersey to German parents.

Clio was the daughter of William Westerhelweg and Albertha Funk. Both appear to be of German descent.

Now that I understand how this works, have a lot more info on the maternal side of his family (having a hard time finding anything on his dad’s side of the family, except for cousins and can’t figure out if their parents are his dad’s siblings or just other cousins).

He has a bit of German and Italian in him too.

Brett’s maternal grandfather, James Edwin Sylvester, born in California, was the son of Virginio Sylvester and Elsie Dettnock. Virginio Sylvester was the son of Narcissus Silvestri and Umilta Valsecchi, both born in Tuscany, Italy.

Elsie Dettnock, born in Seattle, Washington, was the daughter of Gustaf Dittnock (born in Prussia, Germany) and Emma Johanna Wilhelmina Borkenhegen (born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin). Gustaf Dittnock was the son of Friedrich Wilhelm Dittnack and Anna Louise Meyer (both born in Germany). Friederich was the son of Wilhem Dittnack and Anna Malachowska.

Emma Borkenhegen was the daughter of Carl August Heinrich Borkenhagen and Dorothy Daniele Sophy Mueller (both born in Germany).

Brett’s maternal grandmother, Irene Marilyn Iverson, was the daughter of Harry Magnus Iverson (born in Norway) and Irene Batavia (born in San Francisco, California). Harry Magnus Iverson was the son of Harry Iverson and a woman named Matilda. Irene Batavia was the daughter of Philip Batavia (born in Germany) and Laura Cohnreich.
