Samanta Tīna is a Latvian singer, songwriter, and composer. She represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song “The Moon Is Rising.” She had previously auditioned for the contest unsuccessfully in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2019, and won the national selection in 2020, with the song “Still Breathing;” though the contest was postponed a year. She has also participated in the Lithuanian national selection twice, in 2013 and 2017, and competed in the Lithuanian The Voice, where she finished in the top eight.

Samanta has stated that she has Russian, German, Belarusian, and Turkish ancestry. While her family initially spoke Russian, Tīna and her sister Sintija communicated with their parents in Latvian.
