North is the daughter of Kanye West, a rapper, record producer, and fashion designer, and Kim Kardashian West, a television and social media personality, actress, socialite, and model.

Her aunts and uncles are Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner, all of whom are television personalities. Her cousin is Penelope Disick, who is Kourtney’s daughter.

A 23andMe DNA test whose results were displayed on the show Keeping Up with the Kardashians (2018) stated that North’s aunts Kourtney and Khloé’s genetic ancestry is:

The test also evidently stated that the Kardashians have a fraction of Native American DNA, presumably under .4% in Khloé’s case, given her 58% European and 41.6% Middle Eastern results.

North’s paternal grandfather is Ray West (the son of James Frederick West, Sr. and Fannie Mae/B. Hooks). Ray was a member of the Black Panthers and a photojournalist, and is now a Christian counselor. James was the son of Virgil Henry West and Estella/Stella Selby. Fannie was the daughter of Early Hooks and Mary Rolfe.

North’s paternal grandmother was Dr. Donda C. (Williams) West (the daughter of Portwood Williams and Lucille E. Eckles). Donda was born in Oklahoma, and was a professor of English at Clark Atlanta University, and Chair of the English Department at Chicago State University. Portwood was the son of John Williams and Clara. Lucille was the daughter of Clarence Anthony Eckles, and of a woman surnamed Jones.

North’s maternal grandfather was Robert Kardashian, a lawyer (the son of Arthur Thomas Kardashian and Helen Jean Arakelian). Robert was born in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., California. Arthur was the son of Tatos Saghatel “Thomas”/Tom Kardashian and Hamas “Hanna” Shakarian. His family was from Kars, Russian Empire, and were ethnic Armenian Molokan Jumpers from Karakale, now Turkey.
