Jerry Trainor is an American actor and musician. He is known for playing Crazy Steve on Drake & Josh and Spencer Shay on iCarly, both Nickelodeon sitcoms. He is part of the band Nice Enough People.
His surname is usually Irish.
Jerry’s maternal grandfather was Leo Mathew/Matthew McNenly (the son of Leo McNenly and Minnie Schoenick). Leo was born in Genesee, Michigan. Minnie was the daughter of August Schoenick and Louisa Bublitz, who were German.
Jerry’s maternal grandmother was Eva Madelyn “Pat” Petricevic (the daughter of Paul Petricevic and Victoria Ruzak). Eva was born in Saginaw, Michigan, to parents from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, who likely were of Croatian descent. Paul was born in Vöcklabruck Bezirk, Upper Austria.

Obituaries of Jerry’s maternal grandparents, Leo Mathew/Matthew McNenly and Eva Madelyn “Pat” (Petricevic) McNenly – https://www.findagrave.com
Paul Petricevic was born in Vöcklabruck Bezirk, Upper Austria, Austria.
His maternal grandparents were Leo Matthew McNeely Jr. (1920-2006) and Eva Madelyn Petricevic (1920-2015), the daughter of Austrian born parents Paul Petricevic and Vicotria Ruzek. I am guessing some Czeck and Slovak on his maternal grandmothers side of his family.
I think his father William Matthew Trainor (1950), was the son of Henry J. Trainor (Pennsylvania) and Gail F. Gunz (California). Henry was the son of Harry Joseph Trainor and Jane Mary Brown. Gail was the daughter of Katherine and Frank Edward Gunz. Implying German heritage.
Sure doesn’t seem like she was his grandmother:

Yea I was sure about his maternal side. I said think about paternal grandparents. Minnie wasn’t of jewish heritage? Schoenick off the top of my head sounds jewish.
I take that back… Her parents appear to be German Protestants August Schoenick (1852) and Louisa Bublitz (1852) as reported by Geneanat (ancestry.com).
@Follers, big favor. Please look into this and say if these are his paternal grandparents… thanks in advance.
