yeah im wondering what mouro means

  3. Luis says:

Ronaldo has african negroid ancestors from his Mother’s side.
I think Portugal has many ethnicities (Gallaecian, Lusitanian, Algarbian, Madeirense, Açoriense) so he is not from Portuguese ethnicity.
In Race, the most correct should be, Madeirense and Negroid.

You have no idea what you’re saying. Not that there’s anything wrong with it, but Ronaldo does not have African ancestry on either side. He has about as much African ancestry as the rest of the Portuguese which is negligible.

The bulk of Portugal’s African ancestry is ancient berber which are present thousands of years back in Western Europe, not just Portugal and Spain (France, Belgium, Germany also).

How do you know he doesn’t?going by these other sites, they say he does. Also if his grams is from Cape Verde, then the odds are pretty good that he does. Also I don’t know where you got the idea that the last black blood in Portugal was thousands of years old;hundred at the most.Black has never stayed out of Europe, they were there in the past, they are there now

I happen to study Portuguese and currently live in Madeira where he was born and have heard Ronnie’s mom talk about her family through interviews on RTPi (Portuguese Channel). They actually asked her if she had native Cape Verde blood and she said ‘no’ they were white native Madeiran Portuguese. She said they owned a fleet of cattle in Cape Verde and her family were wealthy business owners but lost it all to drought so they returned to Madeira.
