Alexis Bledel is an American actress and model. She is known for her role as Rory Gilmore on Gilmore Girls. I don’t understand all the debate about it. Her parents are from Argentina/Mexico and her first language is spanish and probably celebrates customary latin holidays with her family. That’s enough to make you “latina” …it’s all about what customs you follow.
You can be any race and be latina at the same time. Since being “latin” encompasses all of south and central americas and the carribbean, you can be any one or combination of caucasian/sub saharan/NA/Asian possible. The sky is the limit. In bledel’s case, she looks like a white girl, and all her recent traceable heritage is directly from northern europe.

Maradona is not considered white in Argentina, and Obama would not be considered white in Argentina either. I lived in Buenos Aires for the majority of my childhood. The people there are actually white; plenty of people of Italian, German, and Spanish descent. The same goes for Southern Brazil; crawling with people of Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and ESPECIALLY German descent. There are actual white people in Latin America; whiter than Johnny Depp even.
