Alexandra Socha is an American actress. She has appeared on stage in Spring Awakening, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Death Takes a Holiday, and Head Over Heels, and on the series Red Oaks.

Alexandra’s paternal grandfather was Chester B. Socha (the son of John Henry Socha and Constance A. Pikowsky/Pikowski). Chester was born in Illinois. John was born in Illinois, to Polish parents, Anthony Socha and Marie Myszkiewicz. Constance was born in Illinois, also to Polish parents, Michal/Michael “Mike” Pikowski and Mary Kwiatkowska.

Alexandra’s paternal grandmother was named Stella Kot (the daughter of Peter Kot and Nellie). Stella was born in New York, to Polish parents.

Alexandra’s maternal grandfather was Richard John “Dick” Malatesta (the son of Giuseppe “Joseph” Malatesta and Rosa/Rose Angela Carcioffo). Richard was born in Massachusetts. Giuseppe was born in Genoa, Liguria, Italy, the son of Emanuele Malatesta and Maria. Rosa was born in Massachusetts, to parents from Italy, Isidoro Carcioffo and Maria Mangini, who were also from Genoa.

Alexandra’s maternal grandmother was Geraldine Marie “Geri” Weed (the daughter of Elmer Harlow Weed and Amie Marie Allard). Geraldine was born in New Hampshire, and was of Colonial American (English) descent. Elmer was born in Massachusetts, the son of Frederick Ellsworth Weed and Annie Gertrude Ward. Amie was born in New Hampshire, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Allard and Blanche M. Durgin.

      Not surprising. Israel Broussard’s father was born in New Hampshire in the 1950s, and he was of entirely or near entirely English descent, even after 300 years in the U.S. I suspect New Hampshire is the most English state in the union. If not NH, then Vermont.
