Sean Parnell is an American politician. A Republican, he was Lieutenant Governor of Alaska, from December 4, 2006 to July 26, 2009, and Governor of Alaska, from July 26, 2009 to December 1, 2014.

Sean’s paternal grandfather was Herbert Keith Parnell (the son of William Alfred Parnell and Estella/Stella Ione M. Hoyt). William was the son of Mansfield Robert Parnell and Annice/Anise/Anna/Annas Gertrude Haney. Estella was the daughter of Daniel W. Hoyt and Clara Sears.

Sean’s paternal grandmother was Thelma Omelia Dock (the daughter of Ole N. Dock and Tilda/Torbjør Jaastad/Jaasted/Jostad). Thelma was born in Washington, to Norwegian parents. Ole was born in Hallingdal. Tilda was the daughter of Osten Jaastad/Jostad/Jøstad and Brita Seljestod.

Sean’s maternal grandfather was Robert A. Liebherr (the son of George August Liebherr and Mary Alice Grimes). George was the son of Albert J. Liebherr and Mary/Minnie Buckhouse, who were born in Ohio, both of them to German parents. Sean’s great-grandmother Mary Alice was born in West Virginia, the daughter of Robert Alexander Grimes and Maria Frances Newman.

Sean’s maternal grandmother was Della E. Harshman (the daughter of Edgar Earl Harshman and Catherine Della Raab). Edgar was the son of William Adam Harshman and Lovina E. Beard.
