Adam Savage is an American television personality and special effects designer. He is known as a former co-host of the Discovery Channel program MythBusters, with Jamie Hyneman.

Adam is the son of Karen, a psychotherapist, and Whitney Lee Savage, a painter, filmmaker, and animator. Adam is married to Julia Ward. He has two children.

Adam’s paternal grandfather was Joseph Whitney Savage (the son of Whitman Lee Savage and Lucinda Julia Slack). Joseph was born in West Virginia. Whitman was the son of William Allen Savage and Frances Thankful Detty. Lucinda was the daughter of John William Slack and Amazetta Ritter.

Adam’s paternal grandmother was named Janet Kelly. Janet was born in West Virginia.

Adam’s maternal grandfather was Cushman Davis Haagensen (the son of Edward C. Haagensen and Henrietta T. Paulson). Cushman’s family was Norwegian.
