Jamie Hyneman is an American television personality and special effects artist. He is known as a co-host of the Discovery Channel program MythBusters, formerly with Adam Savage.

He was raised in Columbus, Indiana. Jamie is married to science teacher Eileen Walsh.

Jamie’s paternal grandfather likely was John Raymond Hyneman (the son of Samuel McClittic Hyneman and Ida Belle Farmer). John was born in Indiana. Ida was the daughter of Samuel Farmer and Louisa Cato.
