Steve Largent is an American professional football player, and politician. He was a wide receiver. A Republican, he was a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Oklahoma, from November 29, 1994 to February 15, 2002.

Steve is the son of Suzanne and Jesse James Largent. He is married to Terry, with whom he has four children.

Steve’s paternal grandfather was Jesse James Largent (the son of John Norris Largent and Callie Rosetta Franks). Jesse was born in Arkansas. John was born in Missouri, the son of Thomas Rowland Largent and Mary Jane Cook.

Steve’s paternal grandmother was Mary Frances/Francis Linch (the daughter of James William Linch and Ethel Octavia Pinkston). James was born in Arkansas, the son of James Gray Lynch and Mary A. Boland.

Steve’s maternal grandfather was Stanley C. “Stan” Sorrenson (the son of Johan Marentius Sorenson and Nekolina Johanna Ruud). Stanley’s parents were Norwegian.

Steve’s maternal grandmother was Marion Edythe Lang (the daughter of Albert Weiblen Lang and Matilda Caroline Camenisch). Matilda was born in Illinois, the daughter of David Daniel Camenisch and Sophia Planer.
