I’m so sad to read that you are considering these individuals as BLACK when they just told you what their multi-background was! Your not to swift are you???? Not to mention the fact that Creole is not only a race of people we are a culture as well!!! When we refer to creole we refer to not only our individual selves but all of the races within our families! Unlike Black you identify with only African descent! Well we just can’t do this because most our immediate families actually consists of Native American (Like my grands, French like my aunts and uncles, African, Spanish like my cousins etc.) All this exist in creole families because this is the norm! So I don’t see how you would think this would make since to your only black race category! You see you keep referring to Creole as only black because that is when the English took over America they lied and tried to take away a culture of people who have been present since the 16 and 1700’s under French dictatorship that why our language is FRENCH we are historically known as a GUMBO PEOPLE Identifying as multi-racial in our make-up unlike you who can only identify with 2 races African and English. You also trying to insist that our race of people only came about as a result of slavery!!!! So not the truth! I wish I personally knew u! I could school you on so much about this culture! I’m sad to read that your mind is so closed!!! TAKE YOUR blinders off and stop thinking like your slave masters and old American ways! THAT’S WHY CREOLE CULTURE WAS UNDER FRENCH DICTATORSHIP! DUH! REMEMBER THE LOUISIANA PURCHASE? WELL WHAT DID YOU THINK EXISTED BEFORE AMERICAN DICTATORSHIP?????? Please come prepared to this board to have real convo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GEEZ!

definition of Louisiana creole race: Colonists had referred to enslaved blacks who were native-born as creole, to distinguish them from new arrivals from Africa

creole really just means: native born
you can be white or black and be “creole”

      But this man is black!
creole defines a specific type of black.
