Kristin has three children with her former husband, professional football player/quarterback Jay Cutler. She has also been known as Kristin Cutler.

Charles was born in Döbeln, Sachsen, Germany, and was a Lutheran minister. He was the son of Friedrich Wilhelm Eifrig. Marie was the daughter of Johann/John Christoph Meyer, who was born in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany, and of Marie Schroeder.
Kristin’s maternal grandmother was Mary Patricia Diehl (the daughter of Albert Fredrick Diehl and Emma G. Schmaltz). Mary was born in Ohio. Albert was the son of Christian Diehl, who was German, and of Mary Rautz. Emma was the daughter of William Albert Schmaltz and Matilda Sophia Conn.

These discussions about Italians and Southern Europeans in general are repetitive and irritating. Most of you sound like broken records. Mediterraneans are darker in skin tone, hair color, and eye color. Are all of them? No. Definitely not. This is still a stereotype.
While the Moors are a part of their history, I will be the first one to admit that their genetic impact on Sicilians is exaggerated and overstated. An estimated 10% of Italians have African ancestry. People love to exaggerate this as well because I see most of them forget to mention that the amount in each individual averages at 3%. In some populations, it averages at 0.5%, and it is usually East African. When they spout this out, they usually forget to mention that other European nations average around the same, and that a third of white Americans have African ancestry with their average being 2.5% in each individual. So when discussing the genetics of Italians, this is simply gratuitous. The Moors were mostly Berber. I find it very telling that out of all their history, all people seem to be able to speak about are the Moors.
There is not much genetic difference at all between Northern and Southern Italians. Italy was occupied by several Germanic tribes in both the North and the South, and they both share ancestry with some tribes from the Levant.
For those of you who think Southern Italians, and Sicilians in particular, have more in common with North Africans and Arabs, you are very wrong. They strongly cluster with Greeks, and they were always Mediterranean in appearance. The idea that they somehow looked like Swedes before the Arabs came and overruled them is ridiculous.
I also hate how there are these drawn out conversations about Italians every time, but the non-European components in European ethnic groups outside of the South are ignored. This makes it virtually clear that there is some sort of agenda. No one discusses the Slavs, Finnics, or Balkans on here.
As for this discussion about who is white and who is not, I do not see why this even matters. But if you desire an answer, mine would most certainly be yes.
I find it strange that people in the United States even question whether Italians are white or not. According to statistics, Italian is the third or fourth largest ethnic group reported among white Americans. There was an influx of Italian immigrants in the United States, and everyone from Paris Hilton to Rick Sanctorum to Britney Spears to Lindsay Lohan to Rooney Mara to Hayden Panettiere to Taylor Swift to Frank Sinatra to Elisabeth Hasselbeck have Italian in them.
The two last Miss U.S.A. winners, Alyssa Campanella and Olivia Culpo, were of Italian descent.
I find it odd that you even consider it to be “exotic.” It’s not exactly rare. The East Coast is rife with Italians and Jews to boot. So is California.
Greece is the cradle of Western civilization and Europe, not England.
