Graig Nettles is an American professional baseball player. He was a Major League Baseball third baseman. Graig is regarded as one of the best defensive third basemen of all time. He is nicknamed “Puff.”

Graig is the son of Mary and Henry Nettles. He is married to Ginger, with whom he has four children.

Graig’s paternal grandfather was Thomas Henry Nettles (the son of Henry Andrew Nettles and Margaret C. Alexander). Margaret was born in Tennessee, the daughter of Finis Ewing Alexander and Lively A. Bratton.

Graig’s paternal grandmother was Pearl Fry (the daughter of Maxwell Fry and Lyona Flanary). Maxwell was born in Oklahoma, the son of William Henry Fry and Lettie Boyd Chambers. Lyona was born in Texas, the daughter of Calvin Henry Flanary and Corintha Caroline Conover.
