François is the son of Françoise Moulin Civil and Pierre Civil, who are university professors of Spanish. His paternal grandfather was Catalan and his paternal grandmother was Tahitian. His mother is French, from Avignon. He speaks French, English, Spanish, and some Italian.
His father has an interesting mix. I wonder if his grandmother was of 100% Tahitian ancestry
