Alex G is an American musician, producer, singer, and songwriter. He has released nine albums, four of which have charted. His most recent project God Save The Animals came out in 2022.

Alex’s paternal grandfather was Ginero Giannascoli (the son of Angelo Giannascoli and Mary Di Amico). Ginero was born in Pennsylvania, to Italian parents, from Abruzzo.

Alex’s paternal grandmother was Eva Porrini (the daughter of Domenico Antonio Marinelli and Anna Palumbo). Eva was born in Pennsylvania, to Italian parents, from Molise.

Alex’s maternal grandfather was Bertram Paul Abrams (the son of Maurice Abrams and Daisy Wilensky). Bertram was born in Pennsylvania. Maurice was the son of Russian Jewish parents, Barnard Rosen and Hannah. Daisy was also the daughter of Russian Jewish parents, Samuel Elgart and Daisy.

Alex’s maternal grandmother was Dorothy Siegel (the daughter of Bernard Siegel and Sarah Krant). Dorothy was born in Pennsylvania, to Jewish emigrants. Bernard was born in Białystok, Poland, the son of Sam Siegel and Sarah Forman. Sarah was born in Vinnytsia, Ukraine.
