    never heard of him before

his mother’s name is (Southern) Italian. Never heard a Portuguese woman with such name.

There’s plenty of Portuguese people named Filomena. And the name is originally Greek, not Italian, and is found in many more countries.

      • andrew says:

wow, thank so much but I am still not convinced. Even though Portuguese Filomenas do exist, it’s not the most common female Portuguese name.
Actually a lot of names, in any language, have Greek roots.

        • madman says:

It’s still a Portuguese name anyway. So because it’s unusual it’s likely he has another ancestry too? That’s not valid reasoning. Everyone doesn’t have a common name.
Besides, it’s her middle name (although it appears it’s the name she goes by).
Filomena and Louis Lima —> Maria Filomena and Louis M. Lima
I assume his paternal grandfather was also called Luis Lima, since his father has Jr. in his name.

Just curious, where did you get his middle name from, Harold Wilson Lima?

          • madman says:

Hmmm… I don’t remember exactly, but I’m fairy sure it was from that link that’s now dead. I remember that’s where I got his parents’ names from, and that they were Portuguese. His middle name starts with W., and since his parents’ name were correct, I would guess the middle name is too.
