Tom Welling is an American actor, model, director, and producer. He is known for portraying Clark Kent on the series Smallville, and for his film roles in Cheaper by the Dozen, the 2005 remake of The Fog, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, Parkland, Draft Day, and The Choice. He has also appeared on the series Lucifer and The Winchesters.
Tom’s brother, Mark Welling, is also an actor. He was raised partly in Wisconsin, Delaware, and Michigan. Tom is married to equestrian and Saddle Club founder Jessica Rose Lee, with whom he has two children.
Tom’s paternal grandfather was Louis Harry Welling (the son of Bernard Heinrich Welling and Johanna Kluempka/Klumke). Louis was born in Illinois, to German parents. Bernard was born in Lingen, the son of Johann/John Heinrich/Henry Welling and Euphemia Maria Maier/Kruse. Johanna was born in Hanover, the daughter of Herman Kelumpke and Carolina Kotmann.

nice find alice, and i’ve always thought the native american is somewhat evident, i don’t see why his ethnicity is listed as; “unclear, possibly english”, i think this website is getting too hung up on finding hardcore evidence and going by surname’s and maiden names of celebrities in order to identify their ethnicity. some celebrities are clueless as to what their ancestry is but if a celebrity states what they know of their bloodline, this website should list it
He doesn’t know if he has any Native American ancestry, hence the “possibly.” The reason why they look for evidence is because many celebrities have claimed to have Native American ancestry but turned out not to have any. Others have claimed to be of some other ancestry that they also have turned out not to have. I think there’s nothing wrong with trying to be accurate.

Have you ever been outside of your own country? Have you ever been to Britain, Germany, Netherlands, or a country in Scandinavia? or even some of the Slavic countries? Big jaws are very common among them. You do realzie the cromagnons settled in Europe right? Northern Europeans have some of the biggest jawlines on the planet. Big Jaws aren’t an exclusive native trait. Furthermore, Tom Welling looks almost completely British like most American white entertainers. Now you look at a handful of Aussies, & Brits and tell me he does not look it. Furthermore most American celebs claiming native ancestry don’t have a drop. You realize the large majority of Natives were genocided. At the time America had only a small population. Its present population is a HUGE increase 10 fold. How is Tom Welling ethnically diverse? All the men who have played Superman have been tall, dark-haired, blue-eyed, white men. This includes the most recent one who is British.
Dean Cain is diverse, and some of the Supermans have had brown eyes (like Cain and Welling, though they gave Welling blue contact lenses).
