Tom Welling is an American actor, model, director, and producer. He is known for portraying Clark Kent on the series Smallville, and for his film roles in Cheaper by the Dozen, the 2005 remake of The Fog, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, Parkland, Draft Day, and The Choice. He has also appeared on the series Lucifer and The Winchesters.
Tom’s brother, Mark Welling, is also an actor. He was raised partly in Wisconsin, Delaware, and Michigan. Tom is married to equestrian and Saddle Club founder Jessica Rose Lee, with whom he has two children.
Tom’s paternal grandfather was Louis Harry Welling (the son of Bernard Heinrich Welling and Johanna Kluempka/Klumke). Louis was born in Illinois, to German parents. Bernard was born in Lingen, the son of Johann/John Heinrich/Henry Welling and Euphemia Maria Maier/Kruse. Johanna was born in Hanover, the daughter of Herman Kelumpke and Carolina Kotmann.

Wow good job Tom, nice to see that this site is pretty innacurate and goes by people’s “Surname” rather than actual facts and heritage. It seems like every page i go to with someone of Irish or German descent this site twist’s it around to make them English. Are the English really that desperate to get rid of the “Ugly Stereotype” they have on them to attempt and falsely claim Irish & German Americans as being English? Pathetic. I’ll now take everything said on this site with a grain a salt without proper research its clear this is not a site of facts.
Dunno where the “English” bit came from but here are all the sources about his race, none of them say anything about English just German/Irish/Native the only one that says English is ofcourse wiki (under irish american actors)

Since wiki excluded Native i think its safe to assume wiki is wrong.
Tom Welling is Irish, German, & Native descent with possible English heritage (though many sites seem to dispute having any English heritage at all) the only site i could find that says he’s English is wiki which is not the best of sources since his wiki doesn’t even say he’s Native at all. His middle name is also Patrick.

Also Tom doesn’t look English at all aka “Anglo Saxon” a study of his facial features and skull shape shows that, Tom has a more celtic phenotype thats why he looks exactly like various other Irish actors ie: Cilian Murphy, Patrick Dempsey, Matt Dallas, Paul Walker.

I don’t know about Matt Dallas’s ancestry, but Patrick Dempsey and Paul Walker may not have/have had any Irish ancestry.
It’s hard to find any genealogical material on Tom. And I am not sure if he himself has ever mentioned his ancestry.
