Shirley Booth was an American actress. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for Come Back, Little Sheba (1952).

Shirley was the daughter of Virginia Martha (Wright) and Albert James Ford. Her mother was of one half Northern Irish, one quarter English, and one quarter Irish, ancestry. Her father, who was born in New York, had English ancestry.

Shirley’s paternal grandparents were Albert James Ford and Jane/Jennie Blanson/Bladson. Albert was English.

Shirley’s maternal grandparents were John F. Wright and Margaret Casson (the daughter of William Casson and Margaret). John was born in Northern Ireland. Margaret was born in New York, to an English father, from Croston, Lancashire, and an Irish mother.
