Kersti Kaljulaid is an Estonian politician. She has been President of Estonia, since 10 October, 2016. She is the daughter of Lindu (Raudma) and Jaak Kaljulaid. She is married to Georgi-Rene Maksimovski. She has two children with her former husband Taavi Talvik; and two children with Georgi-Rene.

Kersti’s patrilineal ancestry can be traced back to her eighth great-grandfather, Pelli Andrus, of Lümanda, Saare County.

Kersti’s paternal grandfather was Theodor Klook (later Kaljulaid, the son of Jaak Klook and Leena Lind/Lint). Theodor was born in Lümanda, Saare. Jaak was the son of Mihkel Klook and Eva Triipan. Leena was the daughter of Jaak Lint and Marris Treirat.

Kersti’s paternal grandmother was Maare Tammik (the daughter of Andrus/Andres Tammik and Melanie Reinboom). Andrus was the son of Aardu Tammik and Edo Kesküla. Melanie was the daughter of Gustav Reinboom and Miina/Melanie.

Kersti’s maternal grandfather was Ilmar Pommer (later Raudma, the son of Jaan Pommer, later Raudma, and of Johanna Marie Päss). Ilmar was born in Tartu. Jaan was the son of Hans Pommer and Liis Eisler. Johanna was the daughter of Andres Päss and Riin Tamm.

Kersti’s maternal grandmother was Alvine/Alvi Kull (the daughter of Jakob Kull and Mai Sumberg). Alvine was born in Helme, Valga. Jakob was the son of Rits Kull and Lotta Peterson. Mai was the daughter of Jaak Sumberg and Ann Märtson.

Kersti’s matrilineal ancestry can be traced to her third great-grandmother, Reet Kurg (1804 – 31 March 1873).
