she looks latina
And Cheryl Cole is most certainly fully European. Having dark hair and eyes doesn’t mean that she is Indian, Moroccan, Arab or black(!) as plenty of Brits have these features. It’s just wishful thinking I’m afraid.
It seems every celeb is mixed race according to the commenters on here. Well, apart from the ugly ones lol…
Interesting that it was said on here in the past that she was Scots and Irish. She most probably does have ancestry other than just British Isles. It’s not that she has dark hair and brown eyes but her features are a bit unusual. Her mother and brother do look like they have something more than European. It will be interesting if anything else can be found out about her background.
This is Cheryl’s mother

Here below is her brother. He does look like he has some Asian ancestry. It is fairly obvious.

She doesn’t have any ancestry other than British Isles that anyone knows of and I don’t think her brother nor mother look particularly Asian.
Her mother, Joan Callaghan, especially does not look Asian to me.

More like a white woman with a bad tan. Mary Elizabeth Winstead looks more Asian than her and she, too, is only of British Isles descent.
Oh and I see Cheryl’s grandparents are up.
Her maternal grandparents are Olga Ridley and Joseph Callaghan. Her paternal grandparents are Brian Tweedy and Margaret Bullock. Not too sure which one you think is Asian. I wonder if follers knows?
Olga and Brian are Asian. Joseph and Margaret are not.
nice find alice, after having seen her mother and brother it is painfully obvious she has some sort of non-european ancestry, i mean with the darkness of her eyes and colour of her skin i did find it hard to believe she was of full british ancestry but i thought it’s possible she just got recessive genes and maybe looks different to her relatives. i’d say at least one of her great grandparents was not white
Yes, I changed her ancestry from just Scottish and Irish. She is of mostly English descent, and may have some Irish. I’m not sure if there’s evidence she has Scottish ancestry, but it’s possible.
According to Alice and J. J., she is Asian.
Alice and J. J. are correct.
I never said she was Asian just that she looked to have more ancestry than British Isles and could possibly have something else there. Anyway it appears she has ancestry going back a few generations and is English. She has an unusual look though as I’m from that neck of the woods. She is lovely anyway.
I said her brother looks Central Asian
Are you sure one of her maternal great-grandparents is not Indian, Pakistani, Japanese, Chinese, or anything of the sort?
It seems doubtful. I haven’t been able to exactly pinpoint some of her grandparents on the birth records, but none of the possible candidates are part Asian.
If she was really part “exotic” it would have been mentioned by now, especially by the English press.
Anyway, I’ve added a few more names to the tree.
And yes, Seth MacFarlane does resemble Cheryl’s brother.
Just looked him up. It just goes to show that all these people saying so and so looks Native American because of eyes or cheekbones doesn’t mean anything. It looks like some Europeans do have some exotic looks as well.
not sure but that is her half-brother
Yes I think it is her half-brother. I don’t know what Cheryl’s ancestry is but going by her looks and her family’s she looks more than British. It’s not like much of her ancestry is known and not too long ago people thought she was Irish and Scottish but this has changed. Even Boris Johnson has some Turkish ancestry and Cheryl doesn’t just look British Isles. It’s not her colouring because someone like Catherine Zeta Jones does look British. Her brother definitely has something else in there. He wouldn’t look out of place in Central Asia.
The surnames of Cheryl’s ancestors can be Irish or Scottish, but there is no evidence that they are. From what follers has seen of her ancestry, she’s just English. Cheryl, too, has never claimed to be of any other ancestry. Unless Olga Ridley or Joseph Callaghan (her maternal grandparents) are secretly some sort of Asian, she isn’t. She looks less exotic than Catherine Zeta-Jones to me. Her half-brother looks like Seth MacFarlane who is also of British Isles descent.
“I don’t know what Cheryl’s ancestry is”
-Seriously? You know the surnames of all eight of her great-grandparents. I would say that’s generally a pretty good clue.
Boris Johnson comes from an upper-class family and is mixed with upper-class Turks (he’s 1/8th). Working class people in Newcastle didn’t tend to meet and marry Turks around 1920, at least not ones with last names like “Sanders”.
Her half-brother is the son of Joan Callaghan and a man named Anthony Leighton. I am pretty sure Anthony is of British descent also.
Since when has Cheryl Cole been Scottish and Irish?? She was born in England to English parents and not once has she EVER mentioned having recent Scottish or Irish ancestry. Not once! Before someone mentions her parents’ surnames, millions of English people have surnames from Scotland, Ireland and Wales but it certainly doesn’t mean they have significant ancestry from those countries!
Seriously who writes this rubbish?
she is half arab-Moroccon ..love it.
Fuzzybear,
so there were black people in Scotland. Ireland. lol
Vikings were black. so were from did all white people come from. are they alien.
