He was Vice President of Coca-Cola Latin America and the Coca-Cola Inter-American Corporation. Many latinos ARE white this is a clear example. white is not a race its a culture. The brown skin latinos are usually of native american decent, while the white skinned latinos are european. Thus, you can be white and latino.

  2. Delia carrera says:

PEOPLE PEOPLE!…her parents have those ROOTS!!..but they were raised in those countries! registered in those countries! She herself refers to her mother as a mexicana and her father as an argentino! Grew up with the culture and the language so if she labels herself as latina then she is a mexican-argentina LATINA!!! So what if shes light skinned? Many mexican women are white skinned and still got salsa in their life!

  3. I love him says:

SORRY WHITEYS but shes 100% LATINA

ARGENTINEAN AND MEXICAN. If we’re going to trace back heritages then 90% of Latinos would have to cut ourselves in 2-3 pieces because we are a mixture of EUROPEAN, NATIVE OR AFRO.

  4. Luisa says:

I don’t care if you say she’s white, black, or whatever… but why count Danish, French and German as her ethnicity and not Mexican and Argentinian? Can someone explain it?

    • dan says:

      Hi Luisa,
I think the reason is that to say you’re Mexican or Argentine it usually means you’re a mix of something and something. They’re just trying to be specific in her case which they can trace back to French, Danish and German. If they just say she’s mexican and argentine they most would assume that she’s the typical mix spanish and native indian from Mexico and she’s not that.

      • Rosario says:

Okay, fine. But on other celebs like George Lopez, they counted Mexican. Why not her? Alexis Bledel has “Latina” roots. Or whatever you call it. I’m not sure.

        • Me myself and I says:

she don’t have Latina roots my God Danish German and French do you see somewhere Spain or whatever..!? NO!! she is White! but her mum lived for a while in Mexico and dad in Argentina so that’s why she is White Hispanic (a White person of Spanish heritage) but she have no Spanish heritage..! but in the end all Hispanics I mean real Hispanics are White.. SPAIN..! the others are just fake.. and 77% of All Hispanics are White ether way..! get over it..! bye Hispanic is not a race and will never be

      • Isabel says:

she is the typical mix from Mexico

    • Me! says:

honey it’s about her origin on this page.. about her home countries and that are Germany, France and Denmark.. her parents are immigrants to Mexico and Argentina they are not Mexican and Argentinian.. but actually Argentinians are like 94% White.. and 20% Mexicans too but just because Whites (Europeans) moved to there and blah blah blah..! you got my point.. greetings

      • Selene-The-Immortal says:

Argentina is mostly white. In fact, they have a higher percentage of white people in Argentina than they do in the United States.

Anyway, why can’t she be Latina and white? I think the problem is that many of you want her to be one or the other when she doesn’t have to be. She is just as Hispanic as George Lopez. It is a culture that not just mestizos carry, but whites and blacks as well. Bledel’s race is white, but her culture is Hispanic. It doesn’t have to be one or the other. That’s like forcing Zoe Saldana to either be black or Hispanic. What’s the deal? It doesn’t even make sense, especially considering the fact that one is a culture and another is just a race.

      • Isabel says:

Her home country is the United States and her parents were born mexican and argentinian, which means their ethnicity is hispanic/latino and their race is mixed/mestizo.
And so is she, she just has an american nationality.
Everyone in latin america has some european descent mixed with native american indians, unless they are purely indigenous or they were born in an European country and are first generation immigrants i.e. foreigners.
Most countries in Latin America don’t even consider white as a race option when they take their demographic statistics, so wherever you got your percentages from, they certainly don’t speak for all of Mexico and Argentina.

        • anakaterina says:

Dipshit. Her race is white not fucking mestizo not all Mexicans are mestizo

        • marjanel says:

Demographic statitics are not very importante in LatĂn Americano, they are made like every 10 or 20 years. In most LatĂn American countries they asked if you consired yourself indigenous or being black(mulatto),the rest are united in a category, but it is only because they want to know about these minorities that tend to be poorest and with less oportunities. But that doesn’t mean that they think that whites doesn’t exist.

  5. Johanna says:

She may be Argentinian but i guarantee has alot of Italian in her. Argentinasis full of Italians and Italian mixes.
